As a platform to engage with international contemporary art the EVN AG company collection concentrates on a brief historical period: works from the late 1980s to the present day the opportunity to communicate critical and current positions. The works have been selected by experts commissioned by the company (Brigitte Huck, Paul Katzberger, Georg Kargl, Wolfgang Kos, Heike Maier-Rieper, Hans Ulrich Obrist). Media diversity and the aspiration to represent contemporary themes are characteristic of the selection. In the context of its social responsibility, the EVN Collection sets itself the aim of opening spaces for thought and thus building an investment in the future. International thinking, quality awareness and innovation are what link the collection and the company’s ideals.

The art works are presented in “partnership” with the surrounding contemporary architecture in the “public” zones of the EVN headquarters. Employees and art-lovers from outside the company thus have the thus have the opportunity to come into direct contact with the art works.
